According to TMZ, there will be no criminal charges filed against Steven Jackson from Supriya Harris’ complaint against the Rams’ running back. “Las Vegas police tell us there’s simply not enough evidence to move forward with the case,” says the article.
Given that there was no physical evidence, since the police were never called, it basically boiled down to whether anyone else named in Harris’ statement would come forward to corroborate her version of what happened. The only person named? Jackson’s young nephew, Roderick. Cue the “Law and Order” theme….
In a legal sense, Jackson can now put this story behind him. But there’s a difference between saying “no charges field” and saying “it categorically did not happen.” And there’s no telling what kind of fallout might linger from the initial bombshell of this story, in the locker room or in the stands.
